Most automotive reviewers say the 2013 Audi A3’s conservative cabin design is attractive and that the materials are high-quality. The A3 has more cargo space than many of its classmates, but reviewers complain about its cramped second-row seats, which don’t offer enough head- and legroom for adults, though this is a common complaint for the class.

The 2013 A3 seats five, and test drivers say one of its biggest drawbacks is its cramped rear seats, though small back seats are common in this class. However, reviewers report that the front seats are comfortable and offer good head- and legroom. One reviewer mentions that the roof line limits rear visibility.
Leather seats are standard, and eight-way power-adjustable front seats with four-way power lumbar adjustment and heated front seats are optional.

Standard on the 2013 A3 are dual-zone automatic climate control, a 10-speaker stereo, satellite radio and an auxiliary audio jack. Bluetooth, a 10-speaker Bose stereo, navigation and a six-disc CD changer are optional. The A3 is also available with safety features such as rear parking sensors.
The automotive press says that the navigation system is confusing. The system uses a knob to access menus and enter information, and they note that it incorporates some of the audio controls, which makes the system harder to use. Reviewers say that the climate controls are a little complicated as well.

The Audi A3 has 19.5 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats in use, and that number expands to 39 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. As a hatchback, the A3 has more cargo space than the sedans in the class.
