Though many station wagons are practical, few are as attractive and luxurious as the Audi A6 Avant.
Refreshed for 2009, the Audi A6 Avant receives a new engine, revised suspension and all-wheel drive settings, as well as exterior and interior updates. Though the new A6 has not been extensively tested, auto writers give Audi kudos for its improved stylistic ques. What's more, critics welcome Audi's new third generation Multi-Media Interface (MMI) system for its easier-to-use controls -- though many concede it's still not ideal. Altogether, Motor Trend writes: "If you're idea of luxury transportation combines sport and utility -- and you don't want a truck -- the Audi A6 Avant quattro deserves your consideration."
If you like the A6 Avant, but can't afford its hefty price tag, consider the Audi A4 Avant -- which is similarly styled and out performs most of the luxury wagons in this highly competitive class.
