Safety - What the Auto Press Says

The 2010 BMW 1-Series has not been crash tested by either the federal government or insurance industry. But like all BMWs, the 1-Series comes with a lengthy list of standard safety equipment.

Among other standard safety features, the 1-Series has front-seat mounted front side-impact air bags, a front and rear head protection system, antilock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution and cornering brake control, dynamic traction control, dynamic stability control and crash sensors that automatically turn on hazard lights and cabin lights following a collision.
