Safety - What the Auto Press Says

The 2010 6-Series has not yet been crash tested by the federal government or insurance industry. Rarely are cars at this price-point tested at all. Still, it features a wide array of safety equipment -- including dual-stage front and side airbags, Dynamic Stability and Traction Control. Still, some critics complain of visibility issues.

  • "Aft visibility is tricky in coupes, restricted top-up in convertibles." -- Consumer Guide
  • "Visibility in the coupe is acceptable, but the mirrors could be larger and the B-pillars and tapered rear quarter glass impose some limits." -- Cars.com
