Introduced in 1986, the BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3-Series -- which is available in sedan, coupe, and convertible body styles. The M3 is produced by BMW's famous Motorsport division and is in its fourth generation cycle. It was last redesigned for the 2008 model year.
Powered by a 414-horsepower 4.0-liter V8 engine, the M3 has a top speed of 155 mph and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.8 seconds, according to BMW. That's 114 horsepower more than the turbocharged 335xi coupe and 0.4 seconds quicker. The M3 seats five passengers and features a 10-speaker CD stereo system, among other modern convenience features.
