Test drivers say that the 2014 BMW X5 has nimble handling and a range of powerful engines, but how do they like its cabin. Hi! I am Jim Sharifi, Senior Editor with U.S. News Best Cars. In this video we will take a closer look at X5's interior.
Automotive journalists are impressed with the BMW X5's numerous high-tech features as well as its top-quality materials and sophisticated interior design. They agree that the front and second row seats are comfortable and spacious. Leather upholstery and ten way power adjustable heated front seats are standard. Leather upholstery, ventilated front seats and heated rear seats are optional.
The BMW X5 has a power lift gate and 22.9 ft. of cargo space which expands to 66 ft. with the second row folded. Reviewers note know that rivals offer significantly more cargo space, but they appreciate the X5's unique two section lift gate which includes a lower tailgate section that fold out flat. The X5 standard features include push button start, navigation and front and rear parking sensors. Optional features include a head up display and blind spot monitoring. Reviewers agreed that the X5 updated iDrive system does a good job integrating the controls from the climate and audio systems. However, some say the available lane departure warning system alerts the driver too frequently.
