Safety - What the Auto Press Says

The 2010 Buick Enclave offers safety features comparable to those of its in-class competitors and a solid build. It earns top scores of five stars for all seating positions in federal government frontal and side crash tests. It also receives a four-star rollover score, meaning the AWD and FWD models have just a 15 and 16 percent risk of rollover, respectively, in a single vehicle crash. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives the 2010 Enclave top scores of "Good" in front, side and rear crash protection tests.

  • "Safety features (this is first and foremost a family vehicle) are what you'd expect, with a preponderance of airbags, and what you might not expect: extensive use of high-strength steel for protection." --Car and Driver
  • "Standard safety features on all Enclaves include anti-lock brakes, stability and traction control, front air bags, front-seat-mounted air bags and three-row side-curtain airbags that stay inflated longer in the event of a vehicle rollover." -- Kelley Blue Book
