Safety - What the Auto Press Says

No crash test scores for the redesigned LaCrosse have been published yet -- the federal government and the insurance industry are both expected to release results later this year.

Every LaCrosse regardless of trim includes standard front-, front-side and side head-curtain airbags. Rear-seat side airbags are available as an option - but they may dislodge infant safety seats in an accident, so some buyers won't want them. Stability and traction control are also standard. The LaCrosse uses four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. A one-year subscription to GM's OnStar telematics system is included.
