Critics say the interior of the 2014 Cadillac CTS is filled with attractive materials and features excellent build quality, but how does it perform out on the open road. Hi! I am Jim Sharifi with U.S. News Best Cars. In this video we'll take a closer look at what professional reviewers say about the performance of the Cadillac CTS Sedan.
The redesigned 2014 CTS Sedan has three engines to choose from. The base is a turbocharged 2.0 Liter 4 Cylinder engine that produces 272 HP and it's made it to a six speed automatic transmission. It gets an EPA estimated 20 miles per gallon in the city and 30 on the highway. A 321 HP 3.6 Liter V6 is available and V Sport models feature a twin turbocharged of 3.6 Liter V-6 engines which generates 420 HP.
Test drivers are pleased with the base engines combination of fuel economy and power they also like the automatic transmission for its quick smooth shifts. Experts are even more impressed with the available V6 for its abundant muscle and they report that the V Sport trims offered thrilling acceleration.
On the road the 2014 CTS Sedan impresses reviewers with nimble handling, accurate steering and powerful breaks. The test drivers say that the base suspension delivers a terrific ride, they especially like the livelier handling found on models with Cadillac's optional magnetic ride control suspension.
