Safety - What the Auto Press Says

The 2010 Cadillac Escalade EXT does very well in federal government crash tests. The 2010 EXT earns five out of five stars for driver and passenger protection in front impact crashes. The 2010 Cadillac EXT hasn't been evaluated in side-impact crash tests yet.

Standard accident avoidance features on the EXT include a computer-controlled, four-channel electronic stability control system with rollover mitigation; traction control; a Bosch 8.0 anti-lock braking system, and ultrasonic rear parking assist, which provides an audible alert to the presence of objects behind the vehicle. The EXT comes standard with front passenger, dual-stage air bags and a passenger detection system, plus curtain side air bags in first, second and third rows. Newly standard for 2010 are side-chest airbags for the front seats.
