Exterior - What the Auto Press Says

The 2010 Avalanche continues the styling from a 2007 redesign. The redesign left second-generation Avalanches almost identical to the first generation in size, but with a slightly tweaked front end, a power-dome hood and redesigned lighting elements. The most commented-on feature of the Avalanche's exterior is the removal of the previous generation's body cladding, a decision that greatly pleases virtually ever reviewer.

  •  +"The Avalanche doesn't mind flaunting its split personality; it's not an SUV or a pickup, but rather both. It has the bold but familiar front-end styling found on Chevy's GMT900 products. " -- PickupTrucks.com
  • The redesigned Avalanche "is as handsome as the old one was garish." -- Car and Driver
  • "The once awkward-looking Avalanche that used to wear way too much cladding is streamlined and clutter-free on its exterior now." -- MSN
