2008 Chevrolet Corvette Performance
This performance review was written when the 2008 Chevrolet Corvette was new.
Compared to some of the most exotic cars in the world -- bearing names like Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Porsche -- the Corvette is an American wonder, especially since it costs significantly less than its high-priced rivals.

Test drivers agree the 2008 Corvette is built for speed. Equipped with a 430-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine, it accelerates from 0 to 60 mph within the range of four seconds. The EPA estimates that it has a city/highway fuel economy of 16/26 mpg when equipped with a manual transmission and 15/25 mpg with an automatic.
