Exterior - What the Auto Press Says
The majority of reviewers find the Equinox's exterior styling agreeable and attractive. Interestingly, whether it should be considered a large "compact SUV" or a small "midsize SUV" is a matter of debate. At about 189 inches in length, it falls almost directly in the middle of those two vehicle classes. Its price, however, places it more squarely in the compact class.
- "The Equinox is unmistakable as a Chevy with big, gold Chevrolet bowtie badges front and rear, plus angular styling that immediately evokes the automaker's Silverado and Avalanche pickups." -- Kelley Blue Book
- "Sport models have their own unique exterior features, akin to the TrailBlazer SS, with a lowered stance, no roof rack (available as an option), a sportier front and rear, and high-polished aluminum wheels." -- Cars.com
- "The Chevy Equinox is aerodynamically smooth, thanks to a subtle shaping of front and rear fascias as well as the rear spoiler. From the front, Equinox still looks the part of a Chevy truck, with its requisite single-bar grille sporting a large gold Chevrolet bow-tie emblem." -- New Car Test Drive
