Exterior - What the Auto Press Says
More than one reviewer compares the 2010 Chevy Malibu's sheetmetal to a European sports sedan - a high compliment in a segment known most for the anonymity of its cars. The Malibu doesn't offer a coupe to compete with Honda's sporty Accord two-door. Beyond that one caveat, many consider it the most striking car in its class.
- "Bold, attractive sheetmetal taut proportions, elegant lines and a crisp, clean profile. With tight panel gaps and rich-looking details, this new mid-size Chevy looks like $40,000 while starting at half that price." -- Kelley Blue Book
- "When the editor's soon-to-be-16-year-old sons saw the car in the driveway, they asked, "How much is this? Can this be our first car?" These are the same boys who have been talking used foreign cars." -- AutoWeek
- "A fine-drawn and harmonious design, pretty but chastened with Teutonic seriousness, with a C-pillar traced from Audi's design studies." - Los Angeles Times
- " The Malibu looks masculine, brawny, yet clean and crisp. In our opinion, this is one of the best overall designs that GM design boss Ed Welburn has supervised since he's had the top design job." - New Car Test Drive
- " The exterior styling is modern, distinctive, and more European than anything else in a Chevy showroom." -- Car and Driver
