There aren't too many differences between the Silverado Hybrid's interior and the interior of the conventional Silverado -- something reviewers see as a positive. The interior receives praise for a clean layout, plenty of space and high build quality.  Depending on which trim buyers opt for, the base HY1 or top-of-the-line HY2, the Silverado Hybrid can be optioned as a basic work truck or a near-luxury machine.

Seating

 

The seats in the Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid don't differ much from the seats of the regular Silverado.  The Silverado Hybrid is only available as a crew cab, which gives the truck a full-size back seat that some reviewers even say is roomy. Overall, most reviewers are positive about the Silverado's seating, saying there is plenty of space and comfort to go around.

Interior Features

 

Depending on what model buyers choose, the Silverado hybrid either comes with well-built but basic interior features, or with features that come close to what you'd find in a luxury SUV. No matter the model, reviewers say the interior is nicely laid out and shows good build quality. The HY1 trim is more basic, with cloth seats and a sturdy but workmanlike interior.  The HY2 trim is more expensive, but adds features like navigation and leather seating.

 

As in most hybrids, the Chevy Silverado Hybrid has a gauge that gives the driver instantaneous information on fuel efficiency, allowing the driver to adjust his or her driving for maximum miles per gallon.  For the most part, reviewers like the gauge.  On the upper trim, the fuel efficiency information can be displayed on the navigation screen, an amenity that some reviewers say is worth springing for.  Other features include standard satellite radio and OnStar.  Some reviewers complain about the lack of alternating current (AC) outlets, as are found on GM's hybrid SUVs and were part of the 2007 Silverado Classic Hybrid. Such outlets would allow buyers to plug appliances and tools directly into the Silverado Hybrid, with the gasoline engine working as a generator.  However, other reviewers point out that aftermarket conversion kits should make it easy to use AC appliances in the Silverado hybrid.

Cargo

 

Interior cargo space is one area where the Silverado Hybrid differs from the regular model, though the differences aren't all that great. While the Silverado Hybrid has the same glove box and front center seat storage bins as the regular Silverado, the hybrid's battery pack rides under the rear seat, taking up some usable in-cab storage space.
