Exterior - What the Auto Press Says

The 2010 Dodge Avenger borrows the big-shouldered look of larger cars in Dodge's lineup like the Charger and Challenger -- but weds the bulging rear dimensions to a boxy front resembling Dodge trucks. The look works for some reviewers, but not most. The Avenger's aggressive physical appearance is polarizing, and it anchors the sedan in the bottom half of the affordable midsize car rankings for exterior.

  • "A three-quarter-scale Charger." -- Automobile Magazine
  • "A Stratus [a 2006 Dodge model the Avenger replaced] wearing a Charger costume for Halloween." -- Detroit News
  • "The Avenger's squared-off contours, especially up front, give it a small measure of distinction from its big brother, and it's generally agreed in our camp that the 'Chargerette' is way better-looking than the Sebring." -- Car and Driver
  • "A judicious exercise in Dodge sporty looks that aren't overdone." -- MSN
