Used Car: 2011 Dodge Caliber Review
Reviewers said the 2011 Dodge Caliber drives like a truck, is underpowered, gets poor fuel economy and can’t match the cargo space of competing hatchbacks.
The 2011 Dodge Caliber is ranked:
Most car reviewers disliked the 2011 Dodge Caliber, though they did give it credit for its aggressive styling and available beverage cooler. Overall, they panned the Caliber for its truck-like ride and underpowered engines. The Caliber gets just 23/27 mpg city/highway with its base engine and automatic transmission, which is low for the class. Other hatchbacks in the class offer more comfortable seats as well as more cargo space. The Caliber also has below-average safety and reliability ratings.
The 2011 Dodge Caliber is a little different than the 2010 model. In addition to new exterior colors, the 2011 Caliber gained a navigation radio with SIRIUS Travel Link and the steering was retuned. If none of these updates matter to you, you might be able to save money by choosing the 2010 Caliber.
Other Cars to Consider
The 2011 Honda Fit hatchback outshines the 2011 Dodge Caliber in nearly every way. Not only does it have the highest reliability rating in the class, it also has excellent safety scores and better fuel economy. Its performance, interior and cargo space also outmatch the Caliber’s.
If you don’t need as much cargo space as what the Honda Fit and Dodge Caliber offer, consider the 2011 Ford Fiesta, which is available as a sedan and hatchback. The Fiesta has a slightly better reliability rating than the Caliber, and unlike the Caliber, reviewers found that it’s actually fun to drive and has a much nicer interior.
