2014 Dodge Dart Video Transcript
Most automotive writers agree that the 2014 Dodge Dart offers sharp handling, but they also like much of what it offers in the cabin. I am Jim Sharifi, Senior Editor with US News Best Cars. In this video well take a closer look at what professional reviewers say about the Dodge Darts interior.
Several auto critics remark that the cabin of the 2014 Dodge Dart offers plenty of space and feels more like a mid-size sedan than a compact car. The Dodge Dart comes standard with manually adjustable front seats and a steering wheel that tilts and telescopes. But power adjustable heated leather front seats and a heated leather wrap-steering wheel are also available.
Test drivers say that the front seats are supportive and comfortable and there is also ample head and leg room in the back seat. Reviewers also like the Dodges cabin for its attractive layout, quality materials and many soft-touch surfaces.
The Dodge Dart provides 13.1 cubic feet of cargo space which is typical for a compact sedan, though some rivals offer more. Some reviewers comment that expanding cargo space can be cumbersome since the rear seats head rest need to be removed and the trunk lids hinges take up too much space.
In addition, features that come standard on many rivals including air-conditioning, power door locks and cruise control are only available as options. Reviewers say the optional infotainment system is easy to use with a few saying its one of the best systems in the class, thanks to simple menus and an iPad sized touch screen.
Available features include a USB port, Bluetooth, navigation and a 9-speaker Alpine audio system.
