Exterior - What the Auto Press Says

The 2010 Dodge Journey's exterior styling aims to shun the minivan image for a tougher, SUV-like look. Though it succeeds, it's still not interesting enough for most reviewers.

  • "If there's a place where the Journey really shines compared with a minivan, it's in exterior styling, especially at the rear, where it looks particularly taut and ready to roll. While driving this one, we saw several others on the highway and each time found the design pleasing to the eye -- not just another boring crossover." -- AutoWeek
  • "The 2009 Dodge Journey is without a doubt one of the better looking cars in the Dodge lineup. But, that's not saying much." -- Jalopnik
  • "I thought the bright blue tester had a masculine stance without attracting too much attention. I'd definitely pick another color for it, but besides that the overall look had a hint of elegance to it. That's something new for Dodge." -- Cars.com
  • "I'd love to report that Dodge had broken the mold with Journey, and that the exterior design was a ground-breaking, eye-popping new look at the crossover equation. It's not. Journey will blend in with the crowd." -- About.com
