Exterior - What the Auto Press Says
Most reviewers don't spend a lot of time talking about the Ram's exterior styling. Instead, they talk about how much they like the 2010 Ram's innovative optional RamBox in-bed storage containers, which are big enough to hold tools and sporting equipment. The bins are easily accessible and can even be plugged up and used as drink coolers. While competitors like the Ford F-150 offer cargo management systems, none match the Ram for exterior stowage of smaller items in and around the bed.
- "If you're lookin' for a manly ride, it gets no manlier than the Dodge Ram." -- Car and Driver
- "If you need lots of cold beer in order to shoot a solid round of golf, the Ram is your best bet, because the crew-cab Ram 1500's optional dual RamBox compartments can contain a set of clubs alongside one bedrail and up to five cases of beer (or fewer cases with lots of ice) along the other bedrail. " -- Automobile Magazine
- "The RamBox runs the full length of the 5-foot 7-inch bed on both sides and can hold 7.4 cu.- ft. of stuff. That translates to about 250 12-ounce cans with ice. And yes, drain plugs are included. This slick system also includes a bed-divider and extender that collapses into the tailgate as well as cargo-rail tie-downs with adjustable cleats." -- Popular Mechanics
- "The RamBox is the kind of standout feature that could put a few more people in a Dodge this year." -- Detroit News
- "Another gripe -- the RamBox storage option isn't available on the regular cab Ram. RamBox only comes in the Crew Cab's 5-foot, 7-inch box, not the 6-foot, 4 inch one found on our R/T." -- PickupTrucks.com
