Exterior - What the Auto Press Says
Though nearly all critics agree the Pininfarina-designed Scaglietti is a head-turning beauty, many also assert that it's looks don't meet the high standards to the Ferrari brand.. While onlookers may find the difference negligible, its critics don't.
- "Potentially a minor source of controversy involves its styling. Some have termed it too bland to come from the land of the prancing stallion, but to our eyes it was stunning." -- MarketWatch
- "Our only real beef with the 612 involves its shape. Despite having been penned by the iconic Pininfarina styling house, the 612 looks rather mundane by Ferrari's lofty standards." -- Edmunds
- "Not that the design is likely to be univerally appreciated, Ferrari having departed from the restrained elegance that led to this car's predecessor, the 456 GT, once being described as the most beautiful car on the planet. The 612 has a far more severe frontal aspect, with swept-back headlamps and a very conspicuous radiator grille." -- Fifth Gear
- "I quite like the look of most Ferraris, be they mid-engine or front engine. The F430, and the new 599 are fantastic to look at from every angle, and even the Enzo, which has been a source of controversy for its unusual form-follows-function design seems to fall into the beautiful category for me, but I'm not completely head over heels with the way that the 612 looks." -- Automobile.com
