2007 Ford Edge Review

This review was written when the 2007 Ford Edge was new.

The all-new Edge delivers solid performance, a comfortable interior and stylish looks that match the best in its class. If you are in the market for an affordable midsize SUV, you might also want to consider the much-acclaimed GMC Acadia and Honda Pilot.

The 2007 Ford Edge has been applauded for its safety ratings, nifty styling, comfortable cabin and solid performance. According to the Detroit News, "From just about any angle, the Edge looks like a winner -- rock-solid, utterly capable and almost universally appealing." The Los Angeles Times agrees, and describes the Edge as "a very appealing, if not quite magical, bit of transportation."

Cars.com claims, "It's definitely worthy of consideration for shoppers seeking a midsize SUV," and Consumer Guide recommends, "Give Edge a look, but favor an SE model or a judiciously equipped SEL for best dollar value." IntelliChoice gives the 2007 Ford Edge a rating of "average" for its predicted five-year total cost of ownership compared with other cars in its class.
