Exterior - What the Auto Press Says

The 2010 Ford Explorer Sport Trac's exterior received mixed reactions from reviewers. From behind the front doors forward, the new Sport Trac looks just like a Ford Explorer, with a chrome grille and jewel-like headlamps.

  • "Ford designers have managed to make it look not exactly like a work truck, but not exactly like a soccer-mom sport utility vehicle, either," -- Kelley Blue Book
  • "My eyes are still drawn to the rather large gap between the back of the cab and the pickup bed," --- MSN.
  • "Rugged yet refined; sort of like the Marlboro man dressed up for a night on the town in an Armani suit." -- 4x4REVIEW.com
  • "The Explorer Sport Trac wears the same slatted grille and scalloped headlights as the Explorer, but adds nearly 17 inches in length to accommodate a 4.5-foot pickup bed replete with side rails, tie-down hooks, a composite liner and three in-floor storage containers. It's 210.2 inches long and 73.7 inches wide, which is similar to its competitors." -- Cars.com
