The 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid has a four-cylinder engine that’s paired with an electric motor. Together, they make 188 horsepower, which is routed to the front wheels through an automatic transmission (continuously variable transmission). The Ford Fusion Hybrid gets an EPA-estimated 44/41 mpg city/highway. When it was new, car reviewers praised the Fusion Hybrid for its quiet powertrain, which they said also delivers decent acceleration around town. However, several reviewers complained about the Fusion Hybrid’s touchy brakes. A few reviewers found the Fusion Hybrid’s steering too light and the handling sloppy, but most were pleased with the Fusion Hybrid’s controlled handling and well-weighted steering.
Most reviewers said that the 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid’s cabin has comfortable seats and practical features like folding rear seats that expand trunk space. Standard features in the 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid include an auxiliary jack, satellite radio, Bluetooth, voice-controlled Sync system and Ford’s MyKey system, which lets parents limit the top speed and stereo volume to help encourage smart driving habits for younger drivers.
