Navigon GPS

Although Navigon AG has been around in Europe since 1991, it was just last year that U.S. subsidiary, Navigon Inc introduced a line or car-centric GPS devices on our shores. Navigon has become one of the more successful international portable electronics companies for offering GPS features that are still relatively new in the U.S., like real-time traffic, Zagat restaurant ratings, or Reality View, a feature that allows drivers to view static images of complicated intersections.

The U.S. Navigons, the 2100, 5100 and 7100, all have those three features, while the higher end 7100 adds Bluetooth connectivity. One of the company's most anticipated devices is the Navigon 2200T, which will also have Lane Assistant Pro, software that alerts drivers of the best lane to drive in for future maneuvering. The 2200T's most standout feature is real-time traffic with free updates, all for an enviable price.
