#1
Score: 8.8/10 , Based on analysis of reviews and performance evaluations.
According to reviewers, the TomTom GO 920T is not the very best of its class, but it's certainly in the top tier. It sports a stunning design and excellent performance, but its voice command feature could use a little work.
TomTom GO 920T Overall - 8.75 (Very Good)
The TomTom GO 920T earns reviewer respect and a high overall score because of its competent navigation and winning appearance. In addition to the regular arsenal of capabilities offered for this price bracket, the TomTom GO 920T also throws in Enhanced Positioning Technology, or in other words, additional sensors to keep you directionally on track when a tunnel, big city or heavy woodlands has caused you to lose your signal. The Map Share feature lets you make additions and corrections to maps, which can then be uploaded and shared with other users. Prices for the TomTom GO 920T range from the high $300s to a little less than $500.
TomTom also makes the GO 930T now, which adds Advanced Lane Guidance and the IQ Routes feature.
What the Experts Say:

"If you're in the market for speech recognition...there are better options. The existing Magellan Maestro 4250 already does a better job of this by letting you speak specific commands such as 'Go Home' or 'Nearest Gas.'" -- PC Magazine
TomTom GO 920T Performance - 8.0 (Very Good)
Reviewers praise the TomTom GO 920T's performance. GPS Lodge calls the GO 920T "a very capable navigator." It includes a feature called Enhanced Positioning Technology (EPT) that assists performance by estimating your location when the GPS signal goes out (in a tunnel, for instance). GPS Review approves: "So how did the 920T perform? Quite well! It continued to track my position quite well. Out of all the trips in and out of tunnels it correctly kept up with my position each time except for once."
TomTom GO 920T Ease of Use - 5.75 (Mediocre)
There isn't much information on the accessibility of the GO 920T, but reviewers like GPS Magazine find a bit of a learning curve: "The GO 920T isn't as easy to use as some other GPS devices, and all the options can be overwhelming at first." However, they found the included remote to be easy to figure out, saying "everything was quite intuitive. I never needed to pull out the manual to figure out what each button was for."
TomTom GO 920T Design - 9.17 (Excellent)
Reviewers agree that the GO 920T has an attractive design. "Gorgeous looking hardware design," proclaims GPS Magazine, adding that the "case doesn't pickup fingerprints easily, and everything about the GO 920's physical appearance oozes refined elegant styling." PC Magazine says the "rounded rear profile makes the box slightly thicker than the thinnest devices on the market ... yet it still fits neatly into a shirt pocket."
TomTom GO 920T Features -8.3 (Very Good)
As a whole, reviewers have mixed feelings about the voice command. GPS Lodge says, "I have to admit that with the TomTom GO 920T at an arms length away, I was not all that sure I would need to use the voice commands, but I found it pretty useful." GPS Review says that it worked 92% of the time, though they had to repeat themselves in some cases, adding, "Overall, I was happy with the results, but not ecstatic. It takes me a longer amount of time on average to enter an address by voice than it does by touchscreen." GPS Magazine found the feature a "little disappointing."
