Exterior - What the Auto Press Says
For many Hummer buyers, the exterior design is a major draw - and most reviewers say those who are looking for the special combination of boldness and brawn won't be disappointed by the H3T. They also comment that the pickup's bed, though small, is useful, especially when accessories like a bedrail system and bed extenders are added.
- "The look is Hummer-tough, with all the boxy looks and angles that owners of the brand have grown to love." -- Left Lane News
- "Let's face it, it's a Hummer H3, and that means boxy and kinda cute like a GI Joe toy. The grille on the hood has no function, nor do the air breathers by the windshield. But, with 10.2" of ground clearance and huge knobbly tires, it does carry a certain air of purpose about it." -- Jalopnik
- "From the nose to just behind the rear seat, the H3T is virtually identical to the fully enclosed H3. And by extension, it has the same cool looks of the H3, which itself is just a smaller version of the beefy H2." -- Fort Worth Star-Telegram
- "While obviously longer than a regular H3, the shortbox can still carry plenty of gear, especially with the tailgate down." -- 4-Wheel & Off-Road
- "At 19.4 inches deep, 44.2 inches wide, and 59.3 inches long, the H3T's bed is about 10 inches longer than that of the Ford Explorer Sport Trac and roughly the same length as the Honda Ridgeline's, but it isn't as wide or deep as either. Neither competitor, however, can touch the H3T's ground clearance (up to 10.2 inches) and approach or departure angles (as great as 38.7 and 30.9 degrees, respectively), which are as much a measure of versatility as any in the off-road world." -- Car and Driver
