Interior - What the Auto Press Says
Most H3T reviews focus on the truck's awesome off-road capabilities. However, those that mention the truck's interior are generally pleased with the simple layout and design. The comfortable seats are a reviewer favorite.
- "We tested the vehicle on a long interstate-highway run, and everyone on board remarked about the H3T's comfort." -- Fort Worth Star-Telegram
- "An extra star for not using chrome plastics. The seats are perfection. With all the legroom in the backseat, it's a nice vehicle for passengers as well. The instrument panel lighting is attractive and easy to read." -- Jalopnik
Seats
A majority of reviewers say the seating in the H3T is very comfortable, particularly in the front row.
- "The leather, heated, power, tilt bucket seats are nothing short of awesome. Absolutely comfortable and luxurious, but also practical and solid. " -- Jalopnik
- "The H3T seats five people quite comfortably, even adults." -- Fort Worth Star-Telegram
- "With driver and passenger eight-way adjustable power seats, it will be hard for someone to say they can't find a comfortable seating position." -- Left Lane News
- "The cabin is a little tight on arm room front and rear, a little short on knee room in back" -- Chicago Tribune
Interior Features
Most reviewers are pleased with the materials and construction of the Hummer H3T's interior. While a very few complain of bland materials, others like the utilitarian layout and design. Several reviewers comment on the available backup camera that displays on a small screen embedded in the rearview mirror.
- "Unfortunately, the H3T will still be burdened with the full array of electronic bells, whistles, bling, curtain airbags, child safety locks, DVD players, satellite babysitters, and other electronic nannies." -- 4-Wheel & Off-Road
- "H3T is Bluetooth capable for hands-free phone service and comes with OnStar, GM's emergency satellite communication system. A camera ($550) in the left corner of the rearview mirror shows what's behind when backing up. The dash houses a pair of power plugs for accessories." -- Chicago Tribune
- "The center stack is adorned with attractive brushed aluminum pieces that surround the navi screen and climate controls as well as the surround of the shift lever. Grey piping provides an accent on the leather seats and is mimicked on the carpeted floor mats. Other than those highlights, the interior, while very functional, appears rather bland or lackluster. Perhaps this is an attempt to highlight the H3T's utilitarian nature." -- Left Lane News
Cargo
Few reviewers discuss the interior cargo and storage spaces in the 2009 Hummer H3T. The H3T has a glovebox and center console for storage.
- "Rear seat backs fold to hold cargo you wouldn't want to toss in the bed, but you have to remove headrests first." -- Chicago Tribune
