Test drivers say the redesigned 2015 HONDA FIT offers more power than many sub compact cars, but what do they think of its interior? Hi! I'm Jim Sharifi Senior Editor with the U.S. News Best Cars, in this video we'll take a closer look at the FIT's cabin.
A tilt and telescoping steering column and cloth upholstery are standard on the HONDA FIT. Leather trimmed seats and heated front seats are optional. Reviewers say the FIT's cabin is attractive and built with quality materials. They also note that the front seats are roomy, saying that the redesigned FIT has more shoulder room than the outgoing model. Auto critics agree that there is ample leg room in the back seat which is unusual praise for a sub compact car.
The FIT has 16.6 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats in use and 52.7 cubic feet with rear seats folded, giving it one of the largest cargo holds in the sub compact class. Additionally the FIT's rear magic seat can fold flat and in multiple directions allowing for various cargo and passenger configurations. The 2015 FIT comes standard with a four speaker audio system and a multi angle rear view camera; among the new options for 2015 are push button start and a moon roof. Critics report that the FIT's climate controls are intuitive and some like that the optional touch screen audio system let's you control smart phone apps like Pandora. However many say the touch screen doesn't have enough physical buttons and knobs which makes it difficult to use while driving.
