Exterior - What the Auto Press Says
Opinions of the 2010 Honda Ridgeline's exterior are split. What reviewers do agree on, however, is how functional the design is. With handy exterior features like an in-bed lockable trunk, and a small footprint overall, most say the Ridgline's looks may not please everyone, but they make for a very livable truck. While reviewers are fans of the in-bed trunk, they don't like how hard it can be to access it when carrying a full load.
- "Aesthetics aside, there are some problems with the Ridgeline's styling and design: A traditional bed cap or bed-mounted crossover toolbox won't fit, there's a limited selection of tonneau covers, and visibility is tough in some angles. While the composite bedliner maintains a fresh look and is wide enough to swallow 4x8 construction materials, it doesn't have slots for two-tier loading or vertical dividers for cargo control. - "Honda engineers fitted their pickup with an innovative locking, waterproof in-bed storage compartment that's good for toting up to 8.5 cubic feet of gear. This is a crafty way to increase carrying capacity. Some owners have noted that the location of this compartment is a problem when the bed is full, especially with a load that can't be easily removed such as loam or mulch." -- PickupTrucks.com
