New For 2010?
Some reports have the Honda Stream coming to the States after the Japanese model's anticipated redesign. However, none of these reports have been substantiated and our source at Honda says there's no current plan to bring the Stream/Latitude to the market, and no pending annonucment for such a release.
What The Auto Press Says
There is very little in the way of press regarding the Honda Stream, as there has been no announcement from Honda that indicates it will ever even make it here.
Here is what the press has to say about the coming 2010 Honda Stream:
- "Honda has seen success with its Odyssey minivan, even amid a segment decline, which may indicate the Stream could thrive in the U.S. market. Dimensionally, the Stream is smaller than Odyssey but slightly larger than other MPVs, such as the Mazda5." -- Left Lane News
- "As the Odyssey has grown over the years, there's now some space for the ... Honda Stream to make an entrance." -- Edmunds
Key Details
The Honda Stream is a large wagon similar to the Mazda5. It has been produced in Japan since 2000 and has had some success there. The rumor mill says the U.S. model would only have two rows and that a 2.0-liter i-VTEC would be the leading contender for its powertrain.
