The 2008 Jaguar X-Type Wagon does moderately well in federal government crash tests, earning four out of five stars for front and rear passenger protection in side crash tests and four stars in rollover tests. It has not yet been rated in frontal crash tests. The Boston Globe says that the X-Type Wagon "meets a high standard for safety equipment."
