Warranty

The Rio5 is covered by a five-year/60,000-mile limited basic warranty. Kia also supports the Rio5 with a ten-year/ 100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

While the Rio5's generous warranty used to be its most recognized attribute, reviewers say times have changed. "They have now polished their reputation so much in the United States that they almost don't need to keep giving buyers extras like a 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty and free 24-hour roadside assistance," the Detroit News writes. "But they still do .... Intangibles like that are all part of the total value equation, and the Koreans do that almost better than anybody."
