Safety - What the Auto Press Says

The federal government gives the 2009 Kia Sorento top scores of five stars for all seating positions in both frontal and side crash tests. However, the 2008 model didn't fare nearly as well in insurance industry crash tests. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave it a top score of "Good" in frontal offset tests, but gave it a "Poor," the worst possible score, in side impact tests. Standard safety features include electronic stability control, traction control, dual front advance air bags, full-length side-curtain air bags and a driver's knee airbag.
