Safety - What the Auto Press Says

The federal government gives the 2009 Kia Sportage top five-star scores for all seating positions in both frontal and side crash tests. However, the Sportage didn't do quite as well in insurance industry crash tests, receiving a second-best score of "Acceptable" in frontal offset and side impact tests.

The Sportage comes with Electronic Stability Control, a traction control system, dual front advanced air bags, dual front seat-mounted side air bags, and full-length side curtain air bags.
