Exterior - What the Auto Press Says
The 2009 Lexus LS 600h L exterior differs little from that of the standard gasoline-powered LS. The difference is simply a handful of exterior badges. The LS is a conservatively stylish car - still visually an evolution of the original Lexus LS 400, but with sleeker lines and subtle complexities like its crystal-cut headlamps.
- "A few discreet blue-tinted badges differentiate the LS 600h L, as do the words 'Hybrid' on the lower edges of the rear doors." -- Forbes
- "Smooth, flowing lines and other aerodynamic features create a sense of increasing speed. The car is more than just visually streamlined." -- New Car Test Drive
- "+Its lines flow smoothly from its amazingly complex, crystal-like headlamp units, under the car, up over the roof and around the mirrors, with a short trip over the tiny rear deck to the integrated rear spoiler. After all that detail work on the exterior, they gave the car a drag coefficient of 0.26, tied with the best in the industry for a four-door sedan." -- New Car Test Drive
- "Sleek, modern and somewhat menacing." -- About.com
- "Has a clean, conservative, yet absolutely contemporary shape, accentuated by a forward-thrusting arrowhead motif carried through from door handles to the front and rear lamp units and even the large, unusual twin exhaust-pipe diverters low in the rear bumper." -- Forbes
