Exterior - What the Auto Press Says
Reviewers are pleased with the RX 450h's overall look, which is extremely similar to the gasoline-powered RX 350. For 2010, both models have received a new style that Lexus calls "L-Finesse."
- "The RX is the latest Lexus to receive the brand's ‘L-finesse' styling language. L-finesse models have a clean, uncluttered look that's accented by sharp, angular design elements, such as the headlights. The design theme doesn't diminish the RX's distinctive appearance, as it still sports a raked-forward D-pillar, like its predecessor." -- Cars.com
- "How's it look? Derivative. The hybrid is imbued with a few special styling tweaks intended to better distinguish it from the 350, including an exclusive grille, front bumper and hybrid logo knick-knacks. The modest changes are not likely to disturb buyers, so these geese will continue to lay golden eggs for Lexus." -- New York Times
- "Differentiating the RX 450h hybrid from the RX 350 are a specific grille and front bumper, blue emblems and logos and blue-tinted head- and taillamps, and optional LED headlamps are offered for longer life and lower energy consumption." -- AutoMedia.com
- "The RX450h looks pretty good inside and out, but I'm loath to praise any styling vocabulary with such a ridiculous name." -- Los Angeles Times
- "From the front, the RX 450h looks bolder and stronger, but still elegant. That's really what's lovely about the RX 450h: It doesn't look like an SUV or a family-hauler. It's a beautiful car, especially in the gorgeous Truffle Mica paint of my test crossover." -- Mother Proof
