2011 Lincoln MKT Interior

The 2011 Lincoln MKT boasts seating for up to seven in a high-quality, well-equipped and extremely quiet cabin. But its third-row seat is cramped and cargo space is just average for the class.

The MKT comes with three rows of leather-trimmed seats for seven passengers -- or six, if you opt for a pair of bucket seats in the second row. While the first- and second-row seats receive excellent reviews, reviewers saw that the MKT's swoopy rear end compromises headroom in the third row, though legroom is fine. The MKT provides two Lower Anchors and Tether anchors for CHildren (LATCH) for compatible child safety seats in the second row outboard seats, and another one in the third-row seat on the passenger side.

A plus for the MKT is its front-seat versatility. It comes standard with power-adjustable pedals, adjustable front center armrests, and 12-way power front seats.

Interior Features

The MKT comes with a long list of standard equipment as well as plenty of high-tech options. Edmunds says the EcoBoost model comes “with a list of standard equipment so long it borders on the absurd.” On top of that, the cabin is whisper-quiet and boasts high-quality materials.

Standard equipment on base models includes a rearview camera, automatic temperature control with rear climate controls, Ford’s SYNC infotainment system, Sirius satellite radio, front heated and cooled seats and remote keyless entry.

The MKT provides a maximum of 75.9 cubic feet of cargo space with the second- and third rows folded down (39.6 cubic feet behind the second row and 17.9 behind the third). Those figures are about average for the class.

By contrast, the three-row Acura MDX provides around 15 cubic feet with all seats in use and a maximum of 83.5 cubic feet. However, the Buick Enclave, which also comes with three rows of seats, has both the MDX and MKT beat with a maximum of 115.1 cubic feet of space.

But the Enclave doesn’t offer the same luxury conveniences. The MKT’s offers a power-folding third row which results in a completely flat cargo floor.
