Exterior - What the Auto Press Says

Reviewers have mostly good things to say about the 2010 Lincoln MKX's exterior, although some say it's rather nondescript. Main features include the heritage Lincoln chrome grille, a steeply sloped windshield, large wraparound taillights in the rear, and standard 18-inch alloy wheels.

  • "It's more a point of fact than a criticism to say the MKX looks a lot like all the other vehicles in its class. The chrome cheese-grater grille is distinctive and a deviation from the Lincoln norm. Around back, an LED taillight strip that spans the rear is another distinguishing element." -- Cars.com
  • "For starters, the Lincoln looks terrific, a fact I really didn't appreciate until I spent the week with one. Well drawn and tightly proportioned, with an athletic stance (wide, with pronounced wheel aches and short front and rear overhangs), and an aggressively raked windshield, the MKX cuts a pretty dashing figure on the street." -- Los Angeles Times
  • "The MKX distinguishes itself from boxier-looking SUVs with a more stylish exterior that's highlighted by a sleek roofline that sweeps gracefully rearward." -- Forbes
  • "It's conservative in the manner of a finely-tailored suit, with a look that should wear long and well." -- The Auto Channel
  • "I have to say, in all black the MKX does make for a very sexy package, a sort of minimalist urban bling. In fact, my test car drew an uncommon number of stares and -- in New Jersey -- a few people even rolled down their windows me to ask about it." -- MSN
