Safety - What the Auto Press Says
The federal government gives the 2010 Lincoln MKX a top five-star score for driver safety and four stars for passenger safety in frontal crash tests. In side crash tests, it gets five-star scores for both front- and rear-seat safety. The MKX also receives four-star rollover scores, which mean the AWD and FWD models have only a 14 or 15 percent risk of rollover, respectively, in single vehicle crashes. The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety gives the 2010 MKX top scores of "Good" in frontal offset, side impact and rear crash protection tests.
- "The lack of an available rearview camera is an embarrassing omission at this price level." -- Consumer Guide
- "Standard safety items include front, side and side-curtain airbags with rollover deployment, anti-lock brakes and a stability control system with rollover sensors." -- MSN
- "As befits a family-oriented vehicle, safety systems are plentiful. The MKX includes dual-stage front airbags, seat-mounted front side airbags and Safety Canopy side-curtain airbags for both rows of seats." -- Forbes
