Exterior - What the Auto Press Says

The Quattroporte is a product of Italy's legendary Pininfarina design studios, which has brought the world many of its loveliest cars. The Quattroporte, reviewers say, represents some of Pininfarina's best work. It integrates four full-length doors, large enough to allow for easy entry for rear passengers, into a body worthy of an exotic sports car. For 2009, the front and rear fascias have been subtly redesigned to offer a more refined look.

  • "The 2009 sheetmetal refresh is sure to broaden the Quattroporte's appeal beyond moneyed contrarians to include the mainstream wealthy. ... The triangular taillamp theme is sure to be controversial, but we love them purely because they are so darn Italian. Happily, the cursive ‘Maserati' across the trunklid is unchanged." -- Car and Driver
  • "The Quattroporte sedan looks like nothing else on the road, a delectable aesthetic cocktail of classic sport-sedan proportions and inimitable Italian flair." -- Edmunds
  • "We might forgive Pininfarina for extending the nose 1.4 in. and the tail by 0.4 in. and giving it a larger grille with vertical slats (chromed to distinguish the new S model) to strengthen its resemblance to the GranTurismo. It's also incorporated new bi-Xenon and LED lighting." -- Motor Trend
