Exterior - What the Auto Press Says

Most reviewers praise the exterior of the 2010 GLK-Class, though some are more excited about it than others. Reviewers generally like the styling of the Volvo XC60 and Infiniti EX better than the GLK's.

  • "The GLK has strong straight lines and the bold Mercedes grille. It's more than just a sawed-off version of the ML-Class and GL-Class SUVs. It has a more angular profile, and, in my opinion, it's more attractive." -- Chicago Sun-Times
  • "I normally don't get very excited about styling; when it comes to SUVs, give me utility or give me death. But I've grown weary of all the look-alike vehicles roaming our streets, and it's nice to see one that stands out -- and not in a sore-thumb kind of way. Unique and beautiful, that's the GLK -- and besides, that handsome shape yields plenty of utility." -- About.com
  • "With styling cues borrowed from the company's full-size GL sport-ute and from the iconic Gelandewagen off-road giant, the effect is striking, though it's hard to agree with the Mercedes executive who called the GLK ‘sexy.' To us, the GLK looks more like a hard-drivin' semi punching holes through the air with brute force. Powerful, yes. Sexy, no." -- MyRide
