2007 Mitsubishi Endeavor Interior
The interior of the 2007 Mitsubishi Endeavor is generally regarded as spacious, convenient, and uniquely-styled. It seats only five, where many competitors add a third row of seating to increase capacity to seven or eight passengers.
Cars.com reports that "Front headroom is good, even in models equipped with a sunroof. The seats are softly cushioned, with only modest bolstering and mediocre support. Backseat space is roomy at the sides and tolerable in the center. Controls are clear and the gauges are easy to read."
Seating
The seats and driving positions of the 2007 Mitsubishi Endeavor win praise from reviewers. Car and Driver finds that "the seats are flat but comfortable, legroom is good...and there are enough 12-volt outlets to power a cell phone, a computer, an Xbox, and a margarita blender." Kelley Blue Book adds that "Even the shortest drivers will find they have not only a commanding view of the road, but also good visibility all the way around."
As for the second row, Edmunds finds that "accommodations are particularly generous with class-leading legroom and more than enough head- and shoulder room to keep three passengers happy." Cars.com comments that "backseat space is roomy at the sides and tolerable in the center." Noting the lack of an available third-row seat, the New York Times comments, "it seats only five people, and that may be its biggest drawback."
Interior Features
The 2007 Endeavor is available in two trim levels: the basic LS, and the more upscale SE. A Limited model available in prior years has been dropped for 2007.
The base model SE includes air conditioning, power windows, power locks and mirrors, cruise control, an 8-way manually adjustable driver's seat and a six-speaker 140-watt CD audio system. Step up to the LS, and you'll add heated leather seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, a color LCD multi-function display, a 10-way power adjustable driver's seat, and a premium stereo. Certain optional accessories, including a sunroof and navigation system, are available only on LS models.
Stereo and Entertainment
For 2007, a rear DVD player is unfortunately no longer an option on the Mitsubishi Endeavor, "somewhat diminishing its appeal for families," according to Edmunds. LS model Endeavors include a premium nine-speaker Rockford Acoustic Design audio system with Satellite Radio and an eight-inch subwoofer.
Cargo
Car and Driver speaks for many reviewers when it finds it curious that the Endeavor is "larger in most dimensions than its competitors," yet "its cargo capacity is smaller." Maximum cargo capacity is 76.4 cubic feet -- "considerably less than the Honda Pilot's or Ford Explorer's," according to Edmunds. However, "the seat folds in a 60/40 split with just one latch to reveal a nearly flat, unobstructed load floor." The passenger cabin itself offers "lots of storage space, including deep glovebox and center bin," notes the Detroit News.
