Used Car: 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor Review

Review Last Updated: 5/11/15

The five-seat 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor performs most tasks adequately, but its competitors outshine it in many ways. Most of its rivals offer higher safety ratings, nicer interior materials and more high-tech features.

The 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor is ranked:

Reviewers liked the power, handling and ride quality of the 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor. They also said its tech features are functional and easy-to-use and its seats are relatively roomy. However, being in a fiercely competitive segment, the Endeavor was criticized for low-rent interior materials and dismal fuel economy. In fact, it gets the same gas mileage as a 2011 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 with four-wheel drive, according to the EPA. Most other midsize SUVs can also outdo the Endeavor when it comes to interior quality and safety. That’s likely why Mitsubishi decided to discontinue it – 2011 was the last year the Endeavor was sold in the U.S.

The 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor comes with a 3.8-liter V6 engine, a four-speed automatic transmission and front- or all-wheel drive. Standard features like Bluetooth phone connectivity, a six-speaker audio system and an eight-way adjustable driver’s seat keep the Endeavor’s interior from being too plain-Jane, but other SUVs in this class offer more interior tech and more-luxurious materials.

Other Cars to Consider

A better all-around SUV to consider is the highly-ranked 2011 Toyota Highlander. When it was new, reviewers said the Highlander’s interior was high-quality and its features were easy to use. It also offers strong safety and reliability scores and good fuel economy.

The 2011 Chevrolet Traverse is a good choice because it does nearly everything well. It can hold more cargo than almost any other crossover, and reviewers said its third row is roomy enough for adults. Plus, the Traverse gets better fuel economy and safety ratings than the Endeavor, and most test drivers agreed that its interior feels well-made.
