Exterior - What the Auto Press Says

The Sentra receives new headlights, taillights and a new grille for 2010, but its basic shape and exterior design remain essentially the same as the 2009 model -- which reviewers saw as disproportionate and uninteresting. If you want a car with a sleeker look consider the Mitsubishi Lancer. Its styling gets top scores from the automotive press and its costs more than $2,000 less than the Sentra.

  • "All Sentra models have received revised headlights and taillights, and certain models including the 2.0, 2.0 S and 2.0 SL also get entirely new front fascias that better reflect the brand's current design language. New wheels and bits of chrome exterior trim on some models also spruce up the small car's exterior for 2010." -- Autoblog
  • "Corporate styling doesn't benefit by shrinkage." -- Car and Driver
  • "I find the Sentra peculiar-looking, but you can form your own opinion." -- Cars.com
  • "Although there's an overall impression of substance - the car doesn't look wimpy - there's a little too much weight in the flanks, and the...front bumper area is too simple. The trunk appears truncated, killing any chance of proportion with the blocky front." -- Washington Times
