Safety - What the Auto Press Says

The 2010 Nissan Titan does well in federal crash tests, earning a five-star rating for driver protection in front crashes, and a four-star rating for front passenger protection in frontal crashes. On the other hand, several reviewers take issue with the sometimes-hampered visibility.

The Titan comes with a full complement of airbags for the front row, including side-curtain airbags as standard.

All 2010 Titan trims have front and rear disc, four-wheel anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution. Brake Assist is an optional feature for the three highest trims. Traction control is newly standard for 2010. All these accident avoidance procedures are well and good, but what reviewers say is really missing is a clear view.

  • "Our only real problem was visibility. The A-pillars are huge and the high profile hood makes judging the curbs a little tenuous." PickupTruck.com
  • "Watch as you drive the Titan through crosswalks." MSN
