Warranty

The 2010 911 Carrera carries a four-year/50,000-mile new-car limited warranty. Though this is the standard for most super luxury sports cars, the Nissan GT-R and Lexus SC do provide longer coverage. While the former features a three-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty, the latter comes with four years or 50,000 miles of basic coverage and six years or 70,000 miles of powertrain coverage.

  • "As with every Porsche, the monocoque body structure of the Carrera S seems as if it were forged as a single dense molecule. Warren Buffett's vault probably doesn't have a door that feels as substantial as those on a 911; look under the 911 and you'll find welds down there thoracic surgeons would be proud to leave behind as a scar. In a barrier crash test, bet against the barrier." -- Edmunds
