Exterior - What the Auto Press Says

The Aura's exterior was well-received when it appeared in 2007, and retains a conservative elegance that many reviewers like -- but it is already starting to look dated alongside more recent peers.

  • "Like the SKY roadster, the Aura is more stylish and confident than anything Saturn produced in its first 15 years of existence." -- Kelley Blue Book
  • "It starts with the shape that has a strong arch to the greenhouse and long rear doors that recall the Audi A8 L. The detailing is impressive, from the larger projector-beam headlamps to the use of chromed accents on the window surround, side molding and door handles." -- Road and Track
  • "With big engines and front-wheel drive, the Aura has a requisitely long nose, but thanks to nice tapering of the bumpers, it doesn't look disproportionately front-heavy.  The body sides are clean and tastefully sculpted." -- New Car Test Drive
  • "While its styling is appealing, I miss the aggressiveness of the concept version from a few auto shows ago. Here's hoping the Aura will eventually get a high-performance Red Line variant with the bulging fender flares, side skirts and gaping lower grille that gave the concept such a sense of presence." -- Cars.com
  • "Elegant curves and clean styling give the Aura a classy look." -- U.S. News
