Exterior - What the Auto Press Says

The 2009 VUE looks more stylish than ever. Saturn's famed dent-resistant plastic side panels are gone, and while some reviewers miss the utility, none miss the aesthetic.

  • "The Vue features a now-ubiquitous styling detail: side fender vents. In the Vue's case, the fixtures house side turn-signal lights. The Vue measures 180 inches long and about 73 inches wide -- similar to the RAV4 and CR-V but larger than the Escape's 174.7-inch length and 71.1-inch width." -- Cars.com
  • "Designed for enthusiasts, the Red Line has a more-aggressive appearance, which includes a large lower air opening in the front, along with projector-beam fog lights. At the rear are a spoiler and trapezoid-shaped exhaust tips." -- Fort Worth Star-Telegram
  • "The new Vue's exterior is more innocuous than decisive. It looks nice, but it looks like everything else. If you want something that stands out, go elsewhere. That's not a negative comment, nice and inoffensive seems to be exactly what many consumers want." -- Detroit News
  • "With those tight fits, new jewel-like headlamps and a thick decorative chrome bar above the grille, the redesigned Vue is more fashionable, drawing a look, not just a glance." -- Chicago Tribune
  • "Inside and out, this is one sharp looking little 'ute. Sure the fender vents are a little much, but hey, at least you can brag to your friends that your Saturn looks like a Land Rover." -- Autobytel
