Critics say the 2014 Subaru Forester has composed handling and a controlled ride. But what do they think about its cabin? Hi! I am Jim Sharifi, Senior Editor with US News Best Cars. In this video we will look at the Forester's interior. Reviewers say the redesigned Subaru Forester offers a roomy interior that's built with quality materials though some also right that the Forester's interior design may not appeal to all crossover shoppers. Auto journalist reports that passenger space is exceptional and that outward visibility is excellent from the driver's seat. Leather upholstery, a power adjustable driver seat and heated front seats are available. The Forester has 34.4 cubic feet of cargo space with all seats in use and 74.7 with the rear seats down, which is exceptional for an affordable compact SUV. Some critics note that the Subaru Forester's door pockets and large glove box offer plenty of storage space for small items. Higher trim levels have a power liftgate which can be raised lowered and stopped at any point in between by using the key fob. Reviewers are generally pleased with the Forester's clear gauges and user-friendly controls. However, many say the optional navigation system's small touchscreen display can be difficult to use. A 4-speaker stereo with a USB port and Bluetooth comes standard. Higher trims come with an upgraded audio system, navigation and a panoramic moonroof. The optional EyeSight driver assistance system includes pre-collision braking and lane departure warning systems.
